Chief Charles McClelland Recognizes Explorers

Explorers from the Westside Post #3203 and the Academy Post #9726 were recognized by HPD Chief Charles McClelland at the August media availability.

Chief McClelland was very proud of the explorers performance at the TLEEAA State Explorer Competition earlier this month and presented them with certificates.

South Command Explorers Doing Philanthropy

Explorers from the Southeast Post 8300 and South Central Post 2202 worked in the Palm Center community garden recently. They learned about health eating and what it takes to create a good garden.

TLEEAA Competition Day 4 (Awards Ceremony)

Now it was time for the awards ceremony.

Jacob Guerrero of the Academy Post won 2nd place overall in the male division of the Triathalon.

Westside Post 3203 won first place in Active Shooter.

Westside Post 3203 won third place in Burglary in Progress.

Westside Post 3203 won first place in Robbery.

Academy Post 9726 won third place in Accident Investigation.


TLEEAA Competition Day 4 (Triathalon)

The TLEEAA State Explorer Competition includes a voluntary triathalon open to all explorers. Sunday morning these brave explorers showed up at 6:00 am to do the 25m swim, 1 mile bike ride, and 1 mile run.

There were individual events at state including the bicycle course and the physical agility course.

After all that competition, it was time to have some fun at the dance!

TLEEAA Competition Day 2

Competition started at 8 am on Friday. Each team would get 4 scenarios a day for a total of 8 scenarios. 

Sometimes the food lines were long . . . . . . . 

The long first day was capped off by playing sand volleyball on campus.
